    Büyük Ada Outreach in Turkey

    April 23 - April 23

On the 23rd of April every year thousands of pilgrims (the majority Muslims) celebrate Saint George's day. A traditional pilgrimage takes place on Büyükada, one of the islands 30 kilometres off the coast of Istanbul, Turkey. People from all walks of life come to climb one of the hills to the 12th Century Greek monastery of Saint George. There, they pray that their wishes would come true or to get a particular blessing. Local believers come to share to these often-desperate people the Hope we have in Jesus. Evangelism includes distributing literature, offering prayer and using the creative arts.

    Tour Highlights

This year we added a lot of national believers to the mix team - swelling team numbers to around 25 with 1 band, a dance troupe and two drama teams. It was a great time for training and encouragement in such a relatively safe environment. It was great to see at least one person come to faith after watching what we did, chatting with team members and also other local believers standing nearby.

    No Longer Music in Albania

    July 06 - July 18

"No Longer Music" (NLM) was founded in Amsterdam in 1985 by David Pierce and has been touring the world ever since. Since its formation, NLM has made its mark through its bold and creative blend of music and theater. In many ways NLM has been and continues to be a refreshing exception to a music scene rarely daring to be different. Throughout the years the style of NLM has adapted but its commitment to cutting edge visuals and theatrics has ensured that international demand for the band has stayed strong. Check out the No Longer Music website.

    Tour HighlightsVideo

No Longer Music and TACO joined forces in Albania. The team was able to do 13 shows in 13 days to nearly 10,000 people. 505 of those people indicated on surveys that they were interested in talking with someone about Jesus. In addition to that thousands of pamphlets containing the Gospel message were handed out at the shows. The Gospel was in every part of what was done. Check out a video from the tour

    Face-to-Face in Turkey

    August 03 - August 07

Face-to-face use drama/puppets with local styled dance and music to tell Biblical stories pointing to the work of Christ in salvation. The portable nature, quick set-up and highly visual approach of this type of outreach allow it to draw large crowds quickly and be performed from seaside boardwalks to busy parks. Tour Highlights

This tour was a testing of the waters in Turkey. After having a bad experience with touring in Turkey right after the coup attempt and with the proclamation of a state of emergency in the country it was decided to hold off on tours until things cooled down. This short tour gave us an opportunity to see how things were after time passed as well as share the Gospel on the streets of Turkey on tour again.
